” Evelyn Hardcastle will be murdered at 11 p.m. There are eight days, and eight witnesses for you to inhabit. We will only let you escape once you tell us the name of the killer. Understood? Then let’s begin…”
I promise I will not spoil this book for you….I promise I will not spoil this book for you…I promise I will not spoil this book for you!
I have been repeating this mantra in my brain since I finished this intriguing story. Problem is…there is not much to say about this book without spoiling it for you.
Thus, to make sure you know but you don’t know, it is only fair that I describe the story to you in just a few cryptic but not so cryptic words:
GALVANIC: I read this book in three days. 500 pages in three short days. The events in the story jump in front of you so suddenly and dramatically you cannot close the pages and walk away from them!
TWISTY: like a twisty little path through the woods. … curvaceous, rounded, arched, crooked, twisted, elliptical, serpentine, twisting, looped, compass, sweeping, round, arced, wreathed, turned, humped, incurvate, skewed, circular, curly.
Loaded with BUFFOONERY: stuffed with odd characters whose behavior is ridiculous but amusing.
CRAWLING: The events and the characters crawl inside your brain obsequiously, ingratiatingly in the hope of gaining your favor.
A galvanic , twisty story loaded with buffoonery that crawls into your whole being to make you aware of the unknown secrets hidden in the soul of each one of us.
